Hosting

Every website needs to be "hosted" - this is the term used for the portion of the server where your website is located and where users are directed when they access your site.

At mh-p we have our own servers and the cost of hosting, like domain name registration, is renewable annually but this fee is included within the annual cost of your CMS website.

As part of our hosting service we will backup your site every night - 365 days of the year. This is very important for dynamic sites because unlike standard html sites, which are usually built off-line and then uploaded to the server, dynamic sites like Content Management Systems, Forums, Blogs, Bulletin Boards and e-Commerce sites are updated on the server and therefore have no "local" files. Our backup process downloads your pages and the database to a local server in our offices. It's crucial that you aquaint yourself with the backup and restore procedure that your prospective hosts have in place.
